First of all, you don't put out a recall #13B14 (an overfilled crankcase could result in engine vibration or excessive oil in the Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PVC) system and engine air intake system), and then keep overfilling it every time you get your oil changed. This car was overfilled from the factory. Checked the dip stick after I rec'd the 1st recall (old cable style dipstick) ~3/16" over max. level. On July 24, 2014, recall #13B14-(new dip stick, updated sticker, oil and filter change) were performed by dealer I purchased the car from. Checked the oil level after sitting over night and still overfilled by the dealer by 3/16" over max. Called Customer Relations Center to report the problem on 6/15/17. Told them I was driving to Florida with a overfilled crankcase and it could cause engine damage. They said what do you want to do? I said I want to take it to another Ford dealer. I didn't trust the dealer that just performed the recall since they overfilled it again. When I went to the next Ford dealer, I told them I just talked to Customer Relations and he called them and couldn't get a hold of the person I talked to. I thought by taking it to another dealer, they might change the oil & filter again and put in the proper amount. What did they do, they just drained out some oil to put it in between the min. & max indicators on the dip stick. Today I have 46,552 miles on the car and it's running great, but that doesn't give them the privilege of ignoring and overfilling the oil without any service bulletin etc. to address the problem. To date I have had the oil changed 8 times, 3 times by Firestone, 1 time by an independent garage, and the last 4 times by the same dealer. Firestone put the right amount in twice because I told them to put less in and measure it to make sure it was at the right level. The other 2 times, I made them drain some out because it was overfilled. Boy were they pissed.The last time they replaced the splash cover, they left off 2- 7mm screws & 1 torx screw that hold the cover on. If I hadn't noticed that, I might have lost the whole splash cover. The dealer has changed the oil 4 times and it's been overfilled every time. I've had the head service advisor check the oil level once and he tried to tell me it's just a little residual oil on the opposite side of the dipstick.The last oil change, I took a picture of the dipstick with a ruler in picture for my own documentation. I think that when you get your oil changed, they just pump in 4.3 qts.and they don't check the dipstick to see if it's at the correct level. Please if anyone is having the same problems, let me know. I would hope that Ford would see this letter and contact me. I have all receipts, documents, and some photos to back up my point.
