I was involved in an accident in my 2014 Ford Escape on 01/01/2024. A driver failed to yield and pulled into the path of my vehicle, resulting in my car hitting their car in an angle-collision. The collision happened at around 43mph (according to my dash camera's GPS). The car was a total loss with body damage, airbags deployed, and a broken axle (the vehicle also died when attempting to move it).

The steering wheel airbag, lower knee airbag, and passenger side curtain airbag deployed on impact, but the drivers side curtain airbag did not. Fortunately, although I did receive injuries, I did not receive any injuries due to the failure of the drivers side curtain airbag failing to deploy.

This car had a list of issues, including transmission failure, engine failure, coolant leaks, road noise, backup camera failure (and when it worked, it would, about half of the time, display upside down and backwards), turbocharger failure, etc...
