Escape SE 1600

  • Automatic transmission
  • 40,000 miles

My Ford Escape 2014 with barely 40,000 miles has a steering assist failure - service required and Ford Garage have quoted me USD 3,700 to fix it. Very very dangerous as could barely drive when happened, it could have killed me and my family and I am astonished a car with such low mileage and limited use could have this problem.

Escape Titanium

  • Automatic transmission
  • 98,000 miles

The issue with my vehicle is a recall status with other Ford models and with this model but different 'lots' or something similar. I was told that my vehicle is not part of the recall so I have to pay for it myself. It is a ridiculously high cost! I am hoping that by adding my issue to this site, others will see and if enough add their vehicle, Ford will extend their recall.

Escape ES 1.6L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 70,100 miles

After just having the transmission rebuilt last week, the power steering went. The fuse blew twice, and I'm afraid to drive it after reading about other people's complaints. Something isn't right that the fuse is blowing. I will contact FORD in the AM.
