Escape SE 1.6L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 114,000 miles

Transmission whines, shudders, and there's no reverse except after the ignition turned off. It's a terrible way to check fluid level with no dipstick. It slips and acceleration shuts down.

So this started Friday and I'm out a car. When going up a hill it loses power and shimmys a lot. I can only take it a ford dealer BC its under warranty and the ford dealer only had 1 mechanic the car dealership has not calles me back with any solutions and has not offered a rental a car since only one of their garages can do the work. Oil has Bern changed every 3,000 miles and its babied. I waited 3 years to get this car and know i wish I would have gotten something else. Im out a car and can't work BC of this. And don't bother asking for to help that was useless as well.

Ford should have recalled all 2014 ford escapes and fixed the transmission. It shouldn't be this difficult to get a vehicle fixed.

Escape Titanium 2.0L Eco Boost

Ford Escape shudders as gas peddle is pressed on. We took it to the Ford dealer in Florence OR to have it looked at and they told us that it was nothing to worry about. It continues to happen EVERY time we drive it.
