Used the remote start to warm up vehicle parked in the garage on a 25 degree Michigan winter morning. Entered vehicle, inserted and turned key, everything shut off! Vehicle would not turn over at all, just click click. Neighbor gave us a jump start and we took it to a local Battery store: Batteries Plus.

Totally dead battery on a 52,250 mile Escape= $180.00

Replaced battery and installation charges because of the amount of removal of parts to even get to the battery!

Took to different dealer in South Bend IN. This time to Gurley Leep. Told them about my lock problem in April and how I didn't trust Jordan Ford. I think that's why they gave me a break on the labor. I suggested perhaps there was an overriding electrical problem considering my April problem with corroded wiring but they simply replaced the battery.
