Escape Titanium 2.0L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 683 miles

The car has been at the dealer for 6 days. They have replaced the battery and have a module ordered. The system has a severe short which is causing the battery to be 100% drained in less than 4 hours. The dealer says they have never seen this before! This vehicle has 683 miles on it and we bought it with like 10 miles on it brand new. My concern is that multiple electrical system have now been damaged and it will never be a reliable vehicle from here forward. Anyone else out there experienced this problem. Very disappointing in a brand new vehicle.

Update from Sep 20, 2015: Received car back and seems to be OK now, we have 875 miles on it. They replaced the battery / the start stop pushbutton switch and the BCM module box. Note: we now have a new code for the door access, I guess due to changing out the BCM module. So far so good I hope no other systems have been compromised by this problem.
