Additionally, while inspecting the vehicle, the contact noticed there were small cracks on the headlights. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to file a complaint with the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 92,400.

The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the front passenger-€™s side headlight and rear passenger-€™s side taillight malfunctioned and failed to illuminate as needed. The vehicle was taken to the local mechanic who discovered the headlight and taillight assemblies had been damaged due to overheating and melting of the assemblies and both needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 81,840.
