Went to pull out of my parents' garage and it would not go forward or in reverse; it rolled forward because of a gentle slope. Took it to the local Ford dealer and they said that the whole transmission needed to be rebuilt. Not only was the transmission bad, but the transmission fluid was dark and burnt.
