Crack appeared in new car's windshield while car was in garage overnight. Only 500 miles driven. The was no evidence of a chip from a rock. There was no missing glass from a divot. Crack started at the very edge of the windshield on driver side. There is no damage to the paint, which is 1/16-1/8 of an inch away from the start of the crack. Dealer said this is road damage and Ford will not pay. I think it will cost $400-500 to fix.
