Escape ES 1.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 81,000 miles

This is my fourth Escape and I’ve had more problems with this vehicle than any other Escape. A transmission should not be going out with 4K expense. My car just started jump like I hit something when I turned as acceleration. It got worse when acceleration and deceleration but nothing driving. I went to 2 shops who said it was transmission and they would take 60 days to get parts and repair. Bill Hood Hammond LA has the vehicle. Lamarque Ford Kenner and Banner Ford (I bought it here) said the repair would take that long if not longer due to supply chain and backlog issues with Ford transmissions. Since they did the recall my mpg has decreased from 34.6 to 31.1.

I am a courier this car is my earner and I need it now. Transmissions should not be going out on such a new car. My last Escape had over 260K miles and no problems. This vehicle has had many brakes groaning since I bought it. I have never had to replace any brakes on Any of my cars so I don’t ride them.
