The contact owns a 2006 Ford Escape hybrid. The contact stated that while driving approximately 40 mph, the brake warning indicator illuminated intermittently. The failure recurred numerous times. The vehicle was taken to the dealer four times. The technician informed the contact that the electronic hydraulic brake system would need to be replaced. The vehicle was scheduled for repairs. The manufacturer was notified of the defect. The approximate failure mileage was 86,000. Updated 11/19/13
