throttle control, loss of acceleration.wrench, light on dash
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hnclUpsopxM This video is exactly what happened to me last night driving home in the dark...loss of power, no acceleration, yellow wrench light..no revving of the engine..but you put it in neutral...the RPM's start racing up...I put it in Park and powered off for the night. The muffler was shaking...the engine sounded like it was struggling, bouncing...starts lowering speed down to 40mph and below..if you stop at a stop sign..then it barely wants to accelerate.
It's Sunday so I can't contact the Ford Service Dept or the national Ford Owners web site..I will have to contact them first thing Monday morning. My vehicle never received a recall notice...I checked the site last night and nothing is showing for a recall from Ford on this condition..so dangerous because you lose power instantly ..if I had been on a freeway I would have been hit for sure...I was on I-35 in Des Moines but luckily traffic just went around me and 40mph is the lowest speed you are allowed to go on I-35, but that doesn't mean someone wouldn't come up on you fast and hit you from behind.
