Excursion 4WD 8-cyl

While driving along a local road, the vehicle was maneuvered abruptly to the left to avoid wildlife. The rear seat occupant stated that the seat belt "broke". after investigating it was found that the driver side middle row passenger seat belt stitching failed at the point where the belt loops around the anchor point mounted to the floor. The seat belt had pulled free of the anchor point.

Excursion

The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but the vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure and the current mileage was 235,000.
