Excursion

Driving on interstate at 70 mph, vehicle had a complete loss of power. Traveling with family in the vehicle had to bring to a stop on the side of the road with no power assistance. Mo highway patrol (motorist assist) had to be called to locate tow truck as we were in the middle of nowhere. We were told Ford has given assistance on the repair of this specific engine on other vehicles, pick up or large van, however they are ignoring the same repairs and failures with this engine in the Excursion.

Excursion Diesel

  • 98,500 miles
2005 6.0 L diesel Excursion engine light illuminated. Took vehicle to private garage who determined that fuel injection control module is bad. This is a recall (#05V27) on many similar vehicles, but not mine. I feel the recall should be expanded to the oxford plant vehicles.
