Expedition 6-cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 200,000 miles
: the contact stated the engine shut down while driving at 50 mph. The vehicle was taken to a local dealership where the cause was determined, but the dealer was unable to make the necessary repairs. An independent repair shop inspected the vehicle and determined the engine suffered electrolysis problems. The antifreeze leaked onto the engine because the compartment was made of weak aluminum. Therefore, the compartment could not sustain the fluid.
