Driving on I 75 going speed limit (70mph), 94 degrees outside. Drivers side front tire goes flat. When I stop the car and look at the tire the tire has nearly disenegrated. I had the car towed to don olson tire, a Firestone dealer who charged me $112 to replace the tire. I argued that the tire must have been defective, but was told that the tire must have been low on air or had a nail in it. I asked roger at don olson if he found a nail in the tire, he said no. I asked him if any of the other tires were low on air, he said no. But, I still had to buy a new tire. Now I find out that there is a recall on 15 inch wilderness tires and not 16 inch. I have pled my case to Firestone and have not received a response as of this writing.( dot number: Tire size: 2557016 )

The tire on my SUV separated so bad that it looked shredded off on the rim. I didnt think much about it at the time until the Firestone recall on the same brand tire. According to what ive seen and read, Firestone is saying they only have a problem with the 15 inch tire not the 17. I disagree after seeing pictures on tv and in the paper, my tire looked the same. I would like to know if anyone else has had any problems like this with the same size/brand tire as mine. Thanks( dot number: Tire size: P265\70R-1 )

Firestone has recalled their Wilderness AT fifteen inch tires but I have sixteen in tires of the same brand.these tires are showing cracks at the same location where tread separation is occuring on the fifteens.I beleave that these tires on my Ford Expedition may be unsafe.how can I pursue this issue since I have this vehicle leased from Ford Motor Co.these cracks are consistant on all for tires and look like they are just waiting to separate. If it belonged to me I would not drive another day on these tires but it is on a four year lease.( dot number: Tire size: P255/70R16 )

PE00 020; consumer was traveling about 50mph on highway while raining, he switched into another lane, and vehicle went out of control. Vehicle had skidded into a enbankment and rolled twice or more. There were injuries and vehicle was totalled. After looking at pictures taken of the vehicle after accident it was noted that driver's side front tire was damaged. It is uncertain if this could have caused the vehicle to lose control or was the result of the accident. The tires in question was a replacement tire a B.F. goodrich, replaced June 3, 2000 because the original Firestone tires had developed a defect.

Consumer driving on wet roads 26 miles at 35mph and vehicle hydroplaned. There have been many different times of hydroplaning, it would happen anytime. Dealer says they would wait for a rainy day to try duplicating the problem.
