I have a 2004 Ford Expedition with a 5.4 , auto trans .
When coming to a stop you can feel the motor shake slightly and when you are at a complete stop the motor is surging up and down and feels like it will stall out at any minute.
Then when you lift your foot off of the brake pedal slightly to creep along sitting in traffic it bounces your head back and forth and surges forward as if I'm doing it with the brakes , but I'm not.
I've been to the dealer 7 times now since Dec. 04 and this is still not resolved and it's getting very aggravating already .
Every time it was brought in they would call me up later and say we couldn't make it repeat the problem and to come pick it up.
Finally at the last visit I got the service manager to take a ride with me and I got the truck to do it for him .
He had his computer system hooked up to the truck while we drove around and when it finally repeated the problem his head was bouncing around just like I've been telling them .
He could hear and feel everything I was talking about it doing for years but because there were no engine codes coming up or a check engine light on he had no direction to go in and told me the warranty company will not pay them to troubleshoot everything on this truck , but only to fix a definite problem that was found .
This told me they were going to make me wait until it was broke down on the side of the road and had to be towed in .
This is why I started driving the Expedition and bought my wife a 2008 Ford edge to drive.
It is at the dealership right now and I'll find out on Monday whether or not it was fixed this time .
If not, I'm getting rid of this turd right then, I'm tired of dealing with this problem already , It's been 4 years now!!! and it's still not fixed and our heads bouncing around at every stop is getting really old .
My wife was driving this truck until it started running like this .
