About These NHTSA Complaints:
The NHTSA is the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints can be spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem. See the Back button — blue bar at the very top of the page — to explore more.
Rear suspension failed, and the rear dropped going 45 mph down the road. Changed relays, but the rear is still sagging. The air suspension won't kick on. Car is undriveable.

While driving the rear air suspension failed abruptly causing the rear of the vehicle to bottom out. The vehicle lost handling ability, could not be driven and had to be towed to the dealer for warranty repair. This is a serious safety issue in that I use the vehicle to tow boats and snowmobile trailers often at highway speed. If the air suspension were to fail while attached to a trailer the tongue will hit the roadway and may be a serious safety issue. I think the suspension should be re-designed to include a set of springs to prevent the suspension from completely bottoming out if the air suspension fails.
