The truck sounds like a diesel when it starts for the first 2-3 seconds then runs fine. Ford has known of the problem with this engine from 2017 onward, but sent us NO RECALL (until after I took my truck in and barely snuck in still covered by the warranty). Then we were told by our service tech that the parts in the engine could be replaced, but that Ford does not have the correct updated software to be able to re-program it and we would need to check back monthly with them to see when the new software is available. He also told us he would "try" to keep our service ticket open as long as possible so it would still get covered under warranty. (EVEN THOUGH THE PROBLEM IS KNOWN ABOUT BY FORD AND THEY DON'T HAVE THE SOFTWARE UPGRADE AVAILABLE TO FIX IT CURRENTLY!!)

We were then told that the dealer is too short staffed to contact us when it is available... should probably find a new name for the "Service Department".
