After my own investigation, I have realized there is a design flaw in the gutter area where the bottom of the windshield meets the hood. When it rains or when I get a car wash, the fluid/water is channeled toward the center of the windshield and drains onto the intake manifold and other various surrounding engine parts underneath the hood. I have never seen this happen in other cars. It's a bad design that will eventually corrode the engine. Furthermore, it may be affecting some electrical components under the hood near the intake manifold. This is bad. Please look at the design on the 2021 Ford Expedition XLT. Not sure if this is how they have designed it on other model years, etc. It's a real problem that will cause some serious problems of the engine down the road.
