The -??handless-?? rear hatch opening activates when not intended. This has caused a concussion to a driver while loading a vehicle. While this is not a -??driving-?? system, it causes injuries to occupants immediately prior to driving. It is entirely possible that a driver could suffer a head injury without knowledge, then begin driving. This causes a dangerous driving environment. In particular the system is supposed to operate when the key is in a persons pocket and the foot is waived in the air by the hitch receiver area. The issues exists because it activates even if an object moves under the vehicle when key is in the correct proximity. This can even pin a driver down with the door over thier back while loading. Again this causes injuries and issues that may not be discovered until driving. In this particular incident the driver was loading the cargo area, when the door activated to close unknown to driver. At the same time the driver was leaning back and standing back up hitting his head on the door while it was closing on him. Approximately 10 to 15 minutes later after finishing loading, the driver drove away (sole occupant). After another 10 to 15 minutes later driver was feeling dizzy and un able to focus. The driver stopped the vehicle and sought medical attention. The driver was diagnosed with a minor concussion. While this had a good result, it could have easily escalated or caused a serious accident. It is recommended that a safety advisory about the potential risks of automatic door opening/closing is released. In addition it is recommended that the manufacturer enable the ability to disable the automatic function in the vehicle system in a manner where it only comes back on after a user turns it on.

I was on my way to my daughter's school. We got off the on ramp to her school and while waiting at the red stop light, my car stalled. The wheels locked. My brake pedal and gas pedal were not working when the stop light turned green. The car dashboard was showing the power to be on but nothing was working. After a minute, the battery light and the a light with the arrow that kind of circles around it started blinking. I put my hazards and waved people behind me to go around me. After a few minutes, my car started to go backwards on the on-ramp. I looked back and could feel and see my car going backwards toward the cars behind me. The traffic behind me on the on-ramp started to honk at me. They could see what was happening too. I put the car from drive to park and put my emergency brake and the car stopped. I called 911 and explained what was happening. After a few more minutes, two men in two different vehicles came and offered to help push my car. One of them asked me to put my car in neutral but my car was not allowing me to turn to the different shifts. All of a sudden my car starts blinking again. One of the guys told me to try to press the power again. All of a sudden my car starts powering up again. I thanked the two men and finished dropping off my daughter to school. From the time my car stalled and turned back on was about 8-9 minutes. This car has shown problems over and over with Ford. I have had 3 new car batteries since owning this vehicle in the 3 years I've had it. I've reported all the different car issues on the NHTSA website. I just had my oil changed a few months ago. My car just had a few things fixed in June. I have never been so shaken up like this before. My legs and hands could not stop shaking. I couldn-??t stop crying. I-??ve never been so scared in my life in this vehicle. This was the first time my kid was with me when my car has stalled like this. For my car to lose complete function was the scariest moment in my life with my kid.

There is a chrome decorative trim on the interior of the vehicle that surrounds the cup holders and storage areas. This chrome decorative trim is beginning to delaminate and had a razor-sharp edge. When reaching into the storage compartment that is also a phone charging station the delaminating chrome sliced my hand resulting in me requiring stiches from urgent care.

I arrived home, parked the car, exited the vehicle and walked to the back to retrieve my bag. I opened the hatch and when I reached in I had the feeling that the car slightly moved but I thought because of the falling snow it was an optical illusion, but then it really started to move... thankfully I was able to get to snow covered grass and not slip and fall behind my vehicle. it then proceeded to roll all the way down to the street. It was all captured on my ring camera but I am unable to upload the video?

On about 4 to 5 occasions while driving on the highway, the car sort of stalls and a loss of control happens where everything feels locked up for a few seconds and a big thump is heard. It feels like the transmission has completely dropped out or that I have been hit but I have not been hit, it-??s just the jerking motion I was feeling. It has happened both when excelerating to change lanes and also when promptly slowing to avoid someone coming into my lane. It is a really scary situation and when I looked it up, apparently has been documented on recent earlier models of the car but not in my newer 2021 year. This issue is still happening with the newer model and needs to be looked into. The dealership confirmed and said the transmission needs to be replaced. There are only arousn 26K miles on the car, it started happening around 20K miles.

I do not feel Ford is taking recall 22S36 seriously. In 2022 they began claiming that parts would be available late summer of 2022. I have scheduled and brought my vehicle in at least three times to have this recall performed only to arrive and they didn't have parts. So now for several months I've started calling to check on parts. The first response is always "We can do that recall" but then after asking about parts to make sure I'm told that parts aren't actually available and that they are on back order and expected in two weeks. Ford is providing no means to schedule this recall service by putting customers on a wait list, ordering parts specifically for a VIN, or otherwise setting parts a aside specifically for customers actively trying to get the repair done. Today is day 462 since this recall, almost as many days as dollars they've spent on the handout. I hope the NHSTA takes a hard look at Ford's obligation to resolve recall 22S36 and at their inaction and insincere practice at doing so.

I was driving down the interstate in the morning going traveling out of town for a day trip going approximately 60 MPH. There was an opening in the "Fast" lane so I pushed on the accelerator as I was getting over and it felt as if when it was down shifting it could not find any gears. The vehicle slowed WAY down, thank goodness the person that I pulled out in front of was pay attention otherwise they would have rear-ended us. The exact same thing happened twice again later the same day as we were headed home.

My car has a very scary safety recall. The important notice that I received states that Ford Motor Company has authorized your dealer to provide you with vehicle pickup and delivery, a rental vehicle or other alternate transportation all for FREE. I live in a very large city and can't find one dealership that says they buy into this free service. Not even the dealership where I purchased the vehicle. I do not have transportation to drop my vehicle and need this free service that is offered. I have contacted FORD with no response or help in finding a dealership that complies with their offer.

Rented the vehicle from Action Car Rental in Orlando FL. on Nov 7, 2022. The following evening we noticed some drips coming from the reading light assembly on the roof between the driver and passenger seats (there is no sunroof). We contacted the facility and left messages - no return calls - we contacted the parent company NU Car Rental and did not get anyone on the phone after calling back multiple times. There was a hurricane/tropical storm approaching between 11/9 am-11/10 am and when I finally got ahold of someone during the storm shutdowns; I then notified them of the water intrusion. They said I can return the vehicle to the security guard after the storm passes but cannot guarantee they will have a replacement car for me and to rent elsewhere if I had to. They would note the account for a refund. I was on vacation in Orlando until 11/14, therefore I had to get another rental elsewhere. The afternoon of 11/10 when my husband got into the car with my son they realized tons of water was on the front floorboards. The night before and when we returned the car we got in the SUV to drive we heard water swishing in the body of the car (this was after the storm - we didn't drive during the hurricane alerts). Upon acceleration the water swished from the front to back and could be heard on both sides of the car then deceleration the reverse; water swished from the back to front. When we returned the car to the security guard around 5:55a he said it would be inspected by [XXX] the manager. The manager did not inspect the car until it was marked as returned at 6:20a. He stated on the notes the car was in good condition and listed incorrect mileage driven. Numerous attempts were made to get a refund due to the issues and safety concerns - failed attempts until I got an investigative reporter involved. Then my CC reversed their denial of the dispute and rtnd the money. But we discovered the car had a major accident in Canada and also had multiple recalls open. The contact stated that the failure persisted. The manufacturer was contacted but offered no assistance. The contact was referred to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance to file a complaint. The failure mileage was 21,000.

Issues started after the under the hood fire recall. When driving the vehicle the car will shut down and throw all lights on the dash. This vehicle has been in the shop for repairs, but not fixed. This is a safety issue due to the fact the the vehicle will shut down while driving leaving you stranded when it happens.

We have a 2021 Platinum Expedition that we purchased new in January of 2022. Our vehicle has had electrical/computer issues from the time of purchase. The lane keep assist did not work until the vehicle was updated or reset. The windshield wiper sensor has been replaced twice but continues to not alert me when the fluid is getting low. I am alerted of low fluid the second I am completely out of windshield washer fluid. The tpms has been a problem from time of purchase. My tire pressure display is accurate but cannot alert me when the tire pressure is low. These issues are -??fixed-?? at the dealerships but begin to fail once I have my car back. The infotainment screen is also glitchy and gets stuck from time to time. I have to turn the vehicle off a few times and then I can begin navigating again without disruption. We bought this vehicle with an intent to tow our travel trailer. Our expy is rated to tow up to 9300 lbs. Our trailer was under 7 fully loaded. We went on one trip about 2 hours away and that was our last. We sold our trailer due to how badly our vehicle towed. My husband white knuckled the steering wheel the entire drive there and back. Our vehicle felt as if it was not in control at all. I decided to tow my brothers travel trailer that was around 4,000 pounds and our vehicle failed once again at towing safely. Our vehicle was swaying and completely unstable for the brief ride we took on the tollway going 60-65 mph. I have been dealing with Ford corporation for 8 months now. I am completely exhausted from being told to go back and forth to dealerships to get these issues addressed. Ford does not take these complaints seriously at all. I was actually told that it is not the vehicles fault for towing poorly. We must not of towed a compatible trailer! Dealerships will intentionally not document service appts or delete them to prevent you from qualifying for lemon law. Ford did nothing when we told them our sunroof was leaking within 24 hrs of owning.

I received notice through carfax of a recall due to fire hazard. Numerous attempts at getting more information through ford has resulted in little more than referral to a local dealer. The dealer has no loaners available at this time. I Am forced to park in my driveway surrounded by trees as there is no place near me to park that avoids other structures In a chat with ford today I was told a potential temporary solution was to disconnect the battery. When I called the local dealer again and requested a quick disconnect be installed they said they don-??t /won-??t do that. So I am back to square one. A new expensive suv which may burn down my house and no clear solution. If I were to install a quick disconnect on my own I was told it had to be done with a ford service (why if I am paying out of pocket for it). This is potentially dangerous situation and left hanging on my own Feel like how pinto owners must have felt
