Explorer XLT 4.0L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 195,000 miles

The A/C unit stuck on. Ice was forming on the A/C parts under the hood. The A/C compressor kept running lowering fuel mileage. I got a sore throat from all the cold air blowing in my face, and my feet were freezing on a hot day in August! The interior climate switches were 100% non responsive.

Fixed by disconnecting compressor control wires.
