Explorer XLT 4.0L

I have to continue to take out the fuse so the battery doesn't go dead. My door ajar light is on, and my dome lights don't go right out when the car is shut off and the doors are shut. However, they will go out when it is running, put in gear, and driven. I don't know how to fix it, does someone know how?
