Driver's side seat belt latch is defective, (spring?) it is difficult to latch and repeatedly unlatches during drive times. I was ticketed for this problem.

The contact owns a 1995 Ford Explorer. While driving approximately 25 mph the front drivers side seat belt became unbuckled. The failure recurred intermittently while driving at any speed. He also mentioned that it sometimes takes repeated attempts to get the seat belt to initially buckle. The vehicle was not taken to be examined for the cause of failure, but an authorized dealer was notified and he was informed to replace the seat belt. The vehicle was not repaired.
