Explorer Eddie Bauer 4.6L

  • 105,000 miles

After driving for approx 45 minutes at 65 mph on highway, I slowed down and entered Costco's parking lot. All of a sudden the engine sped up to 2,000 RPM while in Drive. I put it into Neutral and shut off the key.

Upon restarting, it was OK. This is my first major problem with this vehicle. It has been a dream to own. Does anyone have a solution?
