Anyone want a 2001 Explorer Sport SUV for a lawn ornament?... cause that's about all it's good for. Only had the truck for 4 years, only had 111,000 km. I was anal about oil changes and drove it like a fricken grandma. Once 95,000km hit the wiring to the headlights caught on fire... $1,000 bill to fix. Slowly little electrical things start going. But that's not why I'm pissed. Last week, I had the pleasure of breaking down on the side of a busy highway. The truck started smoking and totally seized up- had it towed to the dealership only to discover it was a blown engine. Only a $6,500 bill- more than half it's value now.

Anyways- just thought I should put the warning out to not be fooled by outer appearances. The truck may look cool and sporty but it's a technical nightmare that requires alot of dough to maintain. And I imagine if you have that kind of money- you wouldn't be driving a FORD!!!!! I know it's my last.
