My truck randomly almost stalls and then seems to catch itself, the motor then revs up and the truck lunges forward. This problem started the same month I bought the vehicle second hand from a dealership. We have had it in for repair and while in the shop it did this for the mechanic. Although he experienced the stall and acknowledged it, he could find no problem and therefore offered no solution. I would appreciate some advice from fellow Ford owners on this particular persistent problem.

I have only owned this vehicle for about one month now. It seems when I fill the gas tank, on that day it stalls out while I am driving it. The first time it happened the dealer replaced the coil. The second time they replaced the idle solenoid. It ran fine for one week till I filled the gas tank and it stalled out again today. What gives? obviously they are missing something and my warranty runs out shortly. Any suggestions?

After having to fix the 4WD control mechanism I wasn't a bit pleased to have to haul this back into the dealership for yet another problem. The sensor went bad and was fixed at my cost. The vehicle wouldn't run without it. After this fix I thought I was done..... Wrong

My 2002 Ford Explorer stalls when I am cutting the wheel all the way. Usually going backwards. I don't know why. The check engine light is on and I had it placed on a computer, and they told me it was a ECR or EGR ( or something close to that ) valve. And they said to fix that all I need to do is to clean it out the valve. But they said they did not know why my truck was stalling and that the check engine light was not relatied to my stalling problem. They said ( and get this ) " just leave the truck here and we will have a look at it for you and call you when we find out why it's stalling". Yeah ! ! !.... and how much money do they think people can just say," Oh ya, go ahead and by the way charge me what ever you want while your at it". And when I say they, I mean the Ford dealer in my area.

Just a pain in the booty...Irritating...I thought maybe it was because it is a SUV/Truck, but I don't think that has anything to do with it...
