My rear window does not stay up, went and had it fixed with the recall and it still slams down on you when you lift it. Took it back to Ford and they said it was already fixed in accordance with the recall, well obviously not since it still doesn't stay up on it's own. Not sure if anyone else had this problem after the so called fix, tired of fighting with Ford to fix their faulty product!

I opened the rear window to put something inside, and the window almost fell to the ground. I am a petite Superwoman, because I caught it in mid air. I was alone and had a terrible time trying to put the glass back to where it should have been.I could not open or close the glass to put it back. I was afraid I would drop it, that it would shatter right next to my head. I was in a panic. It took three people to get it back right, with DUCT TAPE over it, so I hope it won't fall off while I'm driving. Detroit Piece of Crap.

This is the third time the hinges on the rear window have stripped and then broken. Only cure is to purchase new hinges over and over. May as well buy four at a time, to replace them twice per year. Whomever designed the rear window and/or door of this SUV, should have his mother, wife and children drive this thing. Wonder how much piece of mind he would have? It would be convenient tho, because he could fix it on his week end off, and have a "busmans holiday".

this was a recall for that the rear window was falling out due to bad hinges, they fix them and now they are broke again.
If it falls off I plan on suing Ford, I called them and told them that it was recalled once before for that problem and I was told that there was nothing they could do about it, well if someone gets hurt they will wish they did do something! Ford is a JOKE. They are a disgrace to America and should go away. This should be illegal for a corporation to be able to do and get away with it.

Went to open the rear hatch and the window came off the hinge. This is a serious safety issue. I went into Ford to have it looked at, it is listed as a recall item. When I went in they stated it had already been fixed so it's nothing they can do. The service center quoted me a price which was somewhere around $1400, he states they would change the whole lift gate being that the panel is also cracked. My issue is that the problem seems to be with the design, not the part, because it's no way that same part will continue to break down if the design wasn't an issue. All Ford had to say was they fixed it once so now it's my responsibility. When I asked for proof that it was fixed they stated that wasn't something they can provide me with. Why? No answer.
