Still getting tests ran.. Issues ranging from speed/abs/TC sensor is bad, to electronic throttle body is damaged, to gas pedal is worn out, to differential and transmission issues, or possibly the main CPU from the auto start Ford installed from their QuickLane services, to a bad wiring harness... Apparently this vehicle is a Frankenstein that does what it wants. The fact that so many things could be wrong from these warning lights is just repulsive. Cost of repair of the above issues range from $30-$4000.

Well, as I said before, I am a hard working woman who finally got my credit good enough to afford me a nice used vehicle. So I chose my 1st Ford. Now the ABS light and 4x4 light stays on and it drives weirdly.

Also, gas mileage is AWFUL. I can't afford to have it looked at because I can't afford both my payment and the cost to get it fixed. Is Ford responsible for anything that goes wrong with these vehicles?

Explorer XLT

I have a 2005 Ford Explorer. The ABS light and the Advance Track light are on. The 4X4 HIGH light is blinking off and on. When I first start driving the vehicle it seems to lose power and a slight grinding sound comes from under the vehicle. Then the light on the dash reads ADVANCE TRACK OFF. The vehicle drives fine then, however the lights stay on. And I am unable to turn the advance track back on. The vehicle then seems to just be operating in rear wheel drive.

I really don't know the solution to this, and I wanted to get some advice before I spend a fortune at the dealer.

Thanks

Going down the road all of a sudden the AD Track light comes on, ABS light and the 4 X 4 Blinks on and off. I had a problem similar to this over a year ago and the dealer had a heck of a time figuring out the problem after they kept replacing parts guessing and costing me over $600. Well, it is back again and now I am debating if I should even try the dealer again. I looked online and see others with this problem. Why is there nothing from Ford? If many people have the problem? Dont think I'll buy a Ford again. Not too happy, too many problems.
