Why does my truck act funny when I steer in either direction?

My truck makes noises when I turn left or right, even just a very slight turn of the steering wheel makes this noise. The noise is kind of grinding but you do not hear a metal to metal noise. You can feel it in the steering wheel, but the steering wheel does not shake. The noise happens when I am turning with and without acceleration. It also makes a noise under the truck. The noise kind of sounds like I am running over sticks. This noise does not happen all the time just when I am going slow (5-15 mph). I have had a hub replaced on the front drivers. Every time I start my truck, an alert pops up saying check advanced traction. Oh and if I hit a big pot hole on the driver's side... my truck goes nuts and shudders when I drive till I shut it off, then it goes away. If I continue to drive while it shudders, it will start to fade when I accelerate up to 50 mph, but doing this makes my truck veer itself to the right. What is wrong with my truck?

It's an 2005 Ford Explorer with 131,000 miles. Could it be a bad ABS sensor? Or even the ABS module? My truck has the ability to turn adv trac on and off. But the button is worthless because it does not do anything when I push the button on or off. It use to pop on the dashboard saying it's been turned on or off. ABS idiot light/4x4 high/adv trac idiot lights were all on at least 3 months ago but for the past 3 months it is only the adv trac idiot light. ANY HELP???
