The reason I took it to ford to be repaired is because it was stuck in 4wd.When they called they told me the bearings needed to be replaced that would fix the problem. YEAH RIGHT!!!!!!!!!

So, I bought this Explorer because I was rebuilding my 06 engine at 300,000 miles. Found the 05 Explorer at the local Ford dealer. It needed hubs, tie rods, and tires. Purchased for 2K. Replaced hubs and tie rods at home. This isn't my first Explorer so not my first rodeo. I've replaced a lot of hubs. This is my 5th Explorer over the years and as you can see from the beginning of this, I keep them a long time. That was10 months ago. Guess what? Hubs are bad... again. I've barely put 25K miles on it. Yes. I drive a lot. Are you kidding me? How can the hubs be bad again. And please... don't say it was me. The last ones done on my 06 100,000 miles ago are both going strong. This is insane. I'm going to replace again. But who wants to keep replacing these and can you imagine the poor soul who has to take this to the shop to do???
