When I bought this truck in August, it would only fill half a tank at a time. In January, when it was extremely cold, it would not fill at all. I had to physically hold the handle on the gas and pump a few cents in at a time. I had to pump extremely slow, otherwise the fuel backs up and shuts off the pump. It took me 25 minutes to pump 15 gallons and it has continued to be like this ever since. No one seems to know what the issue is.
My mechanic thinks it's a siphon ball. That instead of opening when gas is administered, it is closed and that is why I can only trickle the gas in. The very last time I got gas on 4/6/15 - the gas spit back out at me all over the ground. I am at a total loss and chalking this POS up to a total loss as well.
Any suggestions on a DEPENDABLE SUV that can handle cold temps and is low maintenance???
