problem #1

Feb 012010

Explorer Eddie Bauer V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 2,000 miles

I bought this car in January after testing driving it for 2 days. In Feb, I started hearing a high pitch noise when I accelerated. I took it in. The service department had many people working on the car even Ford Engineers. After 3 visits with the same problem, they are calling it a normal characteristic of the car. They say it has to do with the design on the intake in the engine. A year and 3 months later I am still hearing the same noise and nothing can be done. I also hear a vacuum noise in the passenger floor which also relates to the intake of the engine and is a normal characteristics of the car. Mike Rowe needs to swap my Ford for anything but a Ford.
