This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Ford dealer.
THIS UNIT HAD THE HOOD EDGE REPAINT COVER BY THE WARRANTY ABOUT 1 YEAR AGO AND THE SAME PROBLEM SHOWS UP AGAIN AND THEY DO NOT WANT TO COVER IT AGAIN. WHAT CAN WE DO?

If I take in this $40,000 + vehicle to trade in they will definitely dock and if I pay that much money for it I would like the paint to last at least until I can get the thing paid off I have taken back to the dealer 3 times with no satisfaction. They said they have to wait until it rusts through. REALLY!!!

I believe when you purchase a vehicle any paint warranty should be at least 5 years. In addition, when you buy a car/truck you should expect any manufacturer to back there product especially when it is one of the biggest purchases of your life. This is my first Ford and last. They could of simply covered the full cost or at least 1/2 but they figured it was worth loosing a customer. Very short term thinking on there part as I have many family members and friends I will share this experience and deter them away form ever buying a Ford product. Unbelievable to me, that they are willing to loose customers over a few hundred dollar fix for them.
