My family rented a 2011 Ford Explorer to drive from OK to Myrtle Beach, SC. We genuinely loved the car and had planned on purchasing one of our own when we got back. Unfortunately when we were traveling through Memphis we had pulled over to the shoulder of the highway, and while sitting there stopped with our hazards on, a drunk driver veered into our lane and slammed into the back of the car going well over 100 mph. The impact shot our car forward into the ditch and embankment where our car rolled and then went head first into the hill on the other side. Five out of six of my family were immediately sent to the hospital and the first conscious thought I had was that the airbags never deployed. Thankfully my entire family walked away with non life-threatening injuries since we were all wearing seat belts, but things could have been even less severe had the airbags done what they were meant to do.

I am deeply disappointed in Ford at the moment and plan on reporting this in order to get some sort of answer as to why their car failed to protect my family the way it should have.
