Explorer Limited

  • Automatic transmission
  • 65,000 miles

We bought our Explorer almost new, had about 20000 miles on it and we have had it a little over 2 years. There is no reason why it should need a new door handle and door latch! Also, what is the difference between the Explorer and the other Ford vehicles that are on recall for the exact same issue?! I feel like this is an issue that Ford should be paying for and instead we are now out almost $600! If that is the kind of product they are going to be putting out, a product where you will have to replace something like a door handle and latch because you can not close the door, the door just swings open, or the handle is almost falling off, then we will not be buying a Ford ever again in our lifetime!

Explorer 3.5lV6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 15,920 miles

I would be riding down the Highway and the alarm would go off that my door was open pull over and put car in park. Or it would take 20 to 30 times to close door. This taken to Ford on two occasions 8/14/14 and 5/6/15 when they finally replaced the latches..
