Explorer Limited 3.5L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 25,000 miles

Ran like a dream when we first bought it used at about 23K miles. 5months into it the vibration starts in the accelerator pedal, floor and the steering wheel. Sometimes bad enough that it can be detected in the driver's seat also. Not happy, dropped a lot of money on this as I got hit in my Pacifica, otherwise I'd still be driving it at 166K miles.

We bought the Explorer at the dealership in Knoxville, drove hr and a half to get it. Two weeks later had to take it in - shocks were bad, just like that. I drive in the city, not off-roading so how did this happen? Never mind it passed the whatever point inspection on their end. Now the vibration. It's sometime worse, sometimes better and overall extremely annoying.

Had it to the local dealership 3 time, they involved Ford engineering and no clue what it could be. this is my first Ford, it may be the last.

Explorer Limited 3.5L V6

I am having an intermittent driveline vibration between 2000 - 3000 rpm since 1000km on odometer.

It comes through the accelerator pedal. I have taken it in to Ford 3 times for this issue but nothing comes up on diagnosis or road test. Vibration can be intense at times then goes away and drives smooth for a few days. It is

starting to drive me nuts like the truck is playing me. Ugh!
