I have several issues that I have had with the ford explore. This is my second ford explore. The passenger air was not assemble correctly and now is coming apart. The seat belt on the driver sit gets stuck. The car door panels have come undone which is not typical with any other vehicle expect explore. The brakes on the car are difficult to use to the suspension issue. When I have taken my car to the dealer they have not been helpful. They won-€™t provide a temporary vehicle while my car is getting fix and that not acceptable. I need someone to help me with these issues at no cost. This is my second explore and I love my car but I hate that it has issues that were not fix from the moment the car was sold.

I'm getting cel error code P0016. There is a rattling noise on startup and sometimes during highway driving everyday. My Explorer Sport has 65,340 miles on it, w ay to soon for a timing chain. The dealer stated I probably have timing chain stretch and there no tsb to resolved the issue in my truck even though I have the same ecoboost engine as the F150 that the tsb 17-0026 does apply to. Why not the Ford Explorer that has same exact engine as F150 with the same problem" why was the Ford Explorer ecoboost left out of the tsb" there's an issue with the engine not model of truck. I'm hopefully looking for Ford to honer the tsb for my vehicle that has the same engine defect

Bought my 2014 Explorer brand new from koons Ford and right off the bat, the driver seats started squeaking at about 5K miles. They replaced the lower lumbar bar, which fixed it for another 2K miles and the seat started squeaking again. I gave up on this issue after a few more attempts to get it fixed. Then about 6 months later, the lcd on my dash would stay on every now and then when I shut off and lock the car. Took it back to koons and they claim they can't regenerate the issue and can't fix it. After 2 years, started hearing whinning/squealing noises from the rear wheels, koons also could not diagnose/fix. I gave up on koons and took it to ted britt, who also could not diagnose/fix. Had my 45K service and told them about bad odor smell in the car at ted britt and they said everything is in great condition, 5K miles later, rear wheels has grinding noises when driving at low or high speeds and the bad odor is still around, my 8 year old son complains about the car giving him headaches. I took it back to Ford and they said there is only a tsb so, the owners do not get notified, which I think, we as owners should be notified by the manufacture of any harmful substance lingering inside the car cabin and should be recalled and fixed at not cost to the owners. This is very unprofessional of the manufacture.

We rented a 2014 Ford Explorer from avis over memorial day weekend. My 10 month old daughter was in the second row rear-facing in her diono radian rxt car seat (sitting on the right side of the SUV). When I pressed the lever to let the left side seats down to put my two year old into his car seat on the third row, the spring-loaded seats landed on her leg, twisting and crushing it. Now she has a broken tibia! there is a serious flaw in the design of these seats. They are very heavy and are spring loaded so that they fall very hard when you press the lever. I do not believe they accounted for children sitting in rear facing car seats when they designed this vehicle, it is like a booby trap waiting to happen and it needs to be recalled.
