Set my parking brake when I got home from work, then a piece of plastic hit my leg and the brake wouldn't engage, even though my car thought it was. The dash showed the brake on and was beeping at me, but would actually not engage. Dealer couldn't take me I for a couple days, so I had to drive around with the annoying sound! I again advised this was something not under warranty. I had no choice but to repair it. Again, I'm a 5'1, 115 lb. female, I truly believe there's no way I could have been so rough on it! Plus, it's not a tough brake. You easily step on it and it engages! And AGAIN - a parking brake shouldn't be breaking on a 4 year old vehicle!
