turbo high pressure tube failed= b/o at ford problem occured when I noticed oïl spreaded Under the SUV, I drop the truck at the dealer after evaluation the problem was confirmed that the high pressure tube driving the turbo failed on my 3.5 Ecoboost engine. Dealer tells me that the truck cannot used and will be grounged until a replacement part will be ordered . the same day advisor tell me that the part is back order in CANADA and USA. FORD Customer service was advised and after investigation confirmed that the part is back order and potentially available mid october 2016... My FORD EXPLORER SPORT is presently grouded at the dealer pending avalability of the part(tube) for the next 2 months. I am very disapointed and I don't understand HOW a company like FORD IS SO DE-ORGANIZED GENERATATING A POOR PLANNING OF SPARES PARTS. ALSO WHAT I AM CONCERNED IS THE POOR RELIABILITY OF THEIR ECOBOOST SYSTEM. So whenever the problem will fixed MY EXPLORER SPORT WILL BE FOR SALE. I AM SHARING THIS INFO AS REFERENCE FOR OTHER OWNERS. THIS WAS MY LAST TIME BUY OF FORD PRODUCT.

Was driving on 185 southbound heading towards my house when we heard a gurgling noise. A few seconds later, we saw smoke and smelled coolant. When I turned on the heater rolled down the windows to pull over on the side of the highway. As I was making my way towards to right shoulder the red "engine coolant over temperature light" appeared on my display screen. Pulled over to the side just past the off ramp. I called my insurance company to have the vehicle towed to Firestone.
The called me the next day saying I needed to have it towed to the dealership - it looked like a turbo issue which was just replaced back in July 2019. Had it towed to local Ford dealership to have their technician inspect it. 3 days later they call me to inform that my timing cover gasket and cover needs to be replaced due to oil leak - this was on Monday 17 February 2020. I then receive a call on 19 February that I need to replace my Turbo pilot drain line cause that leaking as well. Was told the technician checked my coolant system and found nothing wrong on that same phone call.
