Accelerating at a speed between 35 and 45 MPH and the Explorer lost power. Absolutely no warning, just no response when pressing the gas. Then the low oil pressure warning lights came on. Limped into a nearby parking lot after hoping I would not get rear ended as I and everyone around me was given no warning. The car seemed to be running but with no power. Turned the engine off and when I tried to restart, it just cranked. After sitting about 5 minutes and making sure the vehicle was in park, it finally started and ran like there was no problem. The oil pressure warning signs turned off. Called the nearest dealership this morning and the soonest I can get it in in a week and a half away, in the meantime I am afraid to drive it. Totally unacceptable. I will update when I have answers.
Update from Jun 14, 2018: 6/1/2018 - took the vehicle to the dealer and they found absolutely no problem. No current driving issues, no previous code stored. I am perplexed and now don't trust the vehicle. How can a fairly new vehicle have such a major meltdown and store no codes???? Ford dropped the ball with this one.

FORD EXPLORER BE AWARE, MY EXPLORER LEFT ME AND MY WIFE STRANDED WHILE OUT OF TOWN. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TURNED ON INDICATING TO SEE MANUAL. THE ENGINE WAS STALLING WITH NO PRIOR WARNING. I HAD TO TAKE IT TO THE DEALER AND IT WAS PROBLEMS WITH THE INJECTOR AND TORQUE. HAD TO PAY $498.00 TO REPAIR.
I UNDERSTAND THE WEAR AND TEAR BUT WHAT I DID NOT EXPECT WAS TO STAY STRANDED WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING. VERY DISSAPOINTED WITH THIS 2015 FORD EXPLORER.
SERIOUSLY CONSIDERING IN TRADING IN FOR SOMETHING ELSE.

Driving on I-75 on a Friday night at 75mph and the wrench light came on while simultaneously the engine stopped. Just quiet, no acceleration. Turned off car, waited for 45 minutes for assistance, tried to start car and it started fine, no wrench light. Ford dealership could find nothing wrong. Advanced Auto could find nothing wrong. Drove fine. Happened again 5 days later (will submit another complaint) Read about this happening a lot with the 2016 Explorers.
