June 4th 2019 throttle body failed on 2016 Ford Explorer Sport with V6 ecoboost engine at 59K mile. Vehicle has bucking and had no acceleration when attempting to merge into traffic. Vehicle had to be towed to dealer. Spoke to Ford corporate they would not cover repair even though this is a common issue that service advisors at Ford have told me.

I was driving along at about 55 mph with the cruise control activated. The pedals were not in the right locations so I decided to adjust them to a higher position with the button on the side of the steering column. When I did the adjustment, the engine went into a full throttle mode and would not let up. I pushed down on the brakes hard and vehicle slowed down and the engine returned to normal. When I took my foot off the brake the engine immediately went full throttle again and then back down again when I pushed the brake pedal down hard. This cycle continued even though I shut off the cruise control and tried putting the shifter in neutral. I was final able to pull over to the side of the road and shut the engine off. I restarted the engine after a few minutes and everything seemed to work normally. This was a very dangerous and scary event. I am afraid to drive this vehicle or have my wife drive it. I reported it to Ford but have not heard back from them at this time.

End of March 2019 after driving home from work on a Friday evening the car smelled like exhaust fumes (rotten eggs) when I parked the car in the garage. I called dealer and made an appointment to take the car in. Over the weekend both inside and outside the car the smell was terrible. Took car to Ford dealer for repair. They suggested I needed a new battery (9 months old battery - was told battery causing smell). Picked up car and drove home. Once again upon parking car still smelled like exhaust. Car was returned to dealer. Dealer replaced PCV valve. Picked up car - drove home - car still smells like exhaust fumes. Car has gone into dealer 4 times for same problem. Can no longer park car inside of garage at home due to exhaust smell and potential safety issues. Dealer says they have done everything pursuant to Ford's instruction and their hands are tied. Dealer admits the car smells of exhaust fumes outside of car. Inside the car I am keeping the recycled air on to try to prevent the exhaust from coming in the car. Car needs to be fixed by Ford as the exhaust smell is a safety hazard and should not be happening to a 3 yr. Old car.

The vacuum tube assembly/ hoses corroded to the point the braking system was compromised. The dealership's assessment states that battery acid spilled onto the hose and the acid ate though it. When I visually inspected the hose, the only part of the hose that was corroded where both ends where it connects to the manifold and other end. I find it very odd that batter acid will only spill on 2 opposite ends of a hose, which happens to be where the connections are. The battery was replaced after the original battery's core exploded.

9/29/18: Remote start stopped working and car sputtered when starting. 10/14/18: After manually starting with push-button, white smoke filled my garage and car with 3 children. Explorer towed to brandon Ford dealership that day which happened to be a Sunday. As of today, I still don't have my Explorer back. I was informed that fluid got into the cylinder and the cylinder needs to be replaced. Unfortunately there is a backlog on this particular part. As I approach the 5th week with this loaner vehicle, I am wondering if there is more to the problem or if there is anything that anyone can do to help me get resolution.

I was driving on the nys thruway around 70-75mph and the car decelerated to 55mph then was like in a coast mode. The wrench light came on and it said see manual. I pushed the pedal all the way to the floor and it would not go any faster. I was able to coast to the side of the road. I turned car off and then turned it back on and pushed ok to the see manual. I was then able to drive it. We could of been killed if someone was behind me. I brought in to dealer and said they really didn't find anything wrong or see any info on the computer when car was hooked up. Very scary as I have read online more people have had this happen to them.

Strong exhaust and very high levels of co entering cabin at normal acceleration, very bad at hard acceleration I have multiple pictures of my co sensor I had in the vehicle for some time now with lethal co levels. I believe the exhaust manifolds have big enough cracks to flood in co into the cabin through openings. Mine has had the 'dealer itsb' to resolve, no change and it registered higher after. Replace this manifold and seal this truck or buy it back from me Ford. If putting my family's life in danger daily doesn't scare you, the pictures and proof I have are enough for another lawsuit against you for this! I need to be contacted by a Ford rep (not a dealership) to resolve or my lawyers will follow up with you. While getting on the freeway emissions come thru the A/C and at times the entire A/C cuts out and a bigger puff of these same emissions comes out again thru the A/C vents...a few weeks ago it started a to hesitate when leaving stop signs or lights...to the point it just stops moving and takes seconds to catch hold.we have had it in service 5 times and the dealership is submitting a claim to the Ford tech for an appointment to evaluate the car and go from there waiting for the call now...I feel very threatened with emissions in the cabin of the car. We have to lower at least 2 windows to be able to stand the smell and we figure danger level is high
