I just turned 36,00 miles on my 2016 Ford Explorer and all four of the Hankook Ventus S1 Noble 2 tires that came with the vehicle have worn to 3/32nds of an inch. There have been numerous other complaints about premature wearing of this tire. My local Ford dealer said that they are unable to help me with this matter and told me to contact Ford Motor Company directly. Ford Motor Company was not helpful and said that because the vehicle has over 36,000 miles there is no warranty coverage. This is unacceptable to me. We have owned 5 Explorers prior to this one and the tires all lasted beyond 60,000 miles. The service manager at Chatham Ford in Chatham, MA, where I purchased the vehicle three years ago even told me that this tire should not be on an Explorer. The NHTSA really needs to look into this!!

Hankook tires almost bald with 19,000 miles on 2016 explorer limited. The tires are horrible in rain and snow and are hazardous highway driving. Should all be recalled and replaced before more deaths occur from these horrible tires. 3 year lease and they tell me I need to replace tires at 19k mi."absurd"!!!

2016 Ford Explorer Sport and Ford customer service is absolutely horrendous. I will never buy a Ford again. Since driving off the lot had multiple problems. The newest is the Hankook Venus tires at 14k miles need to be replaced. Ford and Hankook will do nothing for you. The tread is below the ware bar and the rubber is coming off the tires. Also, the steering wall leather is rotting, front seats have clips hanging, sounds of rocks hitting the car coming from the dash area, clicking sound when turning the wheel, not to mention the roof rail came flying off the car after having it repaired. Do not purchase this vehicle. Numerous times to the dealership and they have done nothing.
They are now sending me to a different dealership to look at the issues. Absolute crap.

My 2016 Ford Explorer came from the factory with Hankook Ventus S1 noble 2, 255 50R 20 tires. At 31,000 the tires are completely worn out. I contacted (2) Ford dealerships and the Ford Motor company and no one would accept responsibility. The dealership where I purchased my vehicle told me "I can't do anything about the tires." Another dealer across town was more polite however, did nothing to satisfy the issue. The service writer told me "your best bet is to contact the Hankook representative for this area and see what he can do." I found a few forums that have lots of folks experiencing the exact same issue (same year, model, tire, etc.) Needless to say, I will not purchase this brand of tire again. Furthermore, I own two Ford vehicles purchased from Don Bohn Ford in Harvey, LA and I will never buy another Ford.

Ford chose to put subpar Hankook tire on the 2016 Explorer. It is a 50,000 mile tire and starts to call a part at 10,000. Buy the end of my lease the tire is balding. My miles were under 30,000.
When I turn in my lease it is inspected and I am told to pay $1200.00. FYI TAKE YOUR OWN PICTURES FIRST AND VIDEO. By the time I got call backs and not call back my car was in AZ. Call BS on the shoddy pictures and the explanations I got back.
It is not about the money. It is the fact that these tires are junk and dangerous and no one cares.
My past 4 cars were Fords, looking forward to a GLC 300 the next time around.

I purchased my 2016 Ford Explorer Limited brand new and I now I have to replace my 4 tires because there are no treads on them although the tires were rotated consistently.

After just 12000 miles Ford suggested after routine service that the treads on the Hancook S1 Noble 2 tires were more than halfway worn. When I mentioned that it seemed awful early for tires to be that badly worn, they suggested it my fault (driving style), which is ridiculous. I have bottom-shelf tires on my other car with more than twice as many miles and still plenty of tread. Now less that 2.5 years and with just over 20,000 (mostly highway) miles on them, the tires are pretty much bald.

I brought the car in for an oil change and multipoint inspection and was told tires need to be replaced at 22,000 miles. Service tech says there are no mechanical issues....just tire wear. These are 50,000 mile tires and they are dead at 22K. My driving conditions are normal. The stock tires are crap.

I brought my Explorer in for routine oil change. I was told at 23,256 miles that my tires were in the red and needed to be replaced. They said that I could probably wait until January and see where my tread is then. Unfortunately ended up at the dealership sooner and was advised to get new tires. From my service in June until September, my tires became significantly worse going from the green to the red. Something is wrong with these tires. This is inexcusable and unsafe for drivers.

Hankook stock tires that came in on my 2016 Explorer Limited lasted only 26000 miles.... Terrible tires that wore out just after 1.5 years of mixed driving. I can't understand why FORD would put such cheap tires on a 50K truck. They haven't learned a thing from the Firestone fiasco. Every explorer owner i have spoke to confirmed that their tires did not last past 30000 miles. Shame on FORD, last Ford i ever bought. Warranty thru HANKOOK is a joke and only offered $ 25.00 credit per tire towards replacement tires, like I'm gonna put the same garbage back on...

Hankook Tires that were on the vehicle when I purchased the car. The premature were at 24194 miles ,replace tires at 3/32. Ford would not take responsibility for the premature tire were. This car cost was over 55000.00 with tires that would not last 25000 miles.
