on excell from 55 to 70 eng runs but only goes to 68mph
I feel it can cause accident when passing .I took it to dealer and came back with same old excuse of
can not duplicate problem. It happened two times the other day and it happened before. So I know its not
me or my wife . As I read they have problems with 2016 tbi stalling out .Has there been a fix? This explorer
is a early model 2017 so it could be in that category. Also has rotten egg smell on heavy acceleration .
There is a co2 monitor in rear compartment .Just don't know what FORD doing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pulling into 40 MPH traffic and the 2017 Ford Explorer Sport (V--6 Turbo) would not accelerate, wanted to stall and the check engine light came on and a message about my 4WD tracking system came on. I pulled over with hazards on, put it in park and shut it down thinking that a "re-boot" would help. Started it up again and could only pull into traffic with a top speed of 25 MPH. I crept into the dealership and turned it over to them to fix. I was informed it had something to do with my turbo and a sensor. Part won't be in until the next day at best. I've owned Fords my entire adult life (since I could drive) and never a problem. I've owned this one since it was new. This is my second problem with my Explorer and I don't even have 18,000 miles on it yet.
