My water pump went out and was leaking coolant. The motor had to be pulled out and taken apart to get to the water pump.

My 2017 Ford Explorer water pump replacement quote is $2,975.54 per Future Ford of Concord.

I'm irate that Ford would design an engine where the customer is forced to send a mortgage payment to replace a water pump. Ford should be ashamed of themselves. All Ford owners with the same water pump issue should start a class-action lawsuit that Ford pays 100% of the labor cost to repair/replace all water pumps in the bad design engines. I have no issues paying for the water pump, but 10-12 hours of labor is ridiculous. My Ford has 77k miles and requires the water pump to be replaced. I was informed by the dealership that it should have lasted to 100k at least. Please join me in a class-action lawsuit that Ford created a cash cow for any service provider replacing a water pump.
