I was backing up into my empty garage and suddenly the car brakes hard as if I hit something while my foot was still on the gas pedal. I put the car in park and jumped out to see what I hit. NOTHING. The space directly behind and all around the vehicle was clear. I got back in the car and proceeded to continue backing into my garage. Again, the vehicle slammed on the brake ON ITS OWN while I pushing on the gas pedal, as if I hit something and that thing is what stopped the car. I immediately called dealer because I JUST got "the works" done on my vehicle not even a week before.
The next day, when I placed my car in reverse, a display popped up saying that my "rear brake assist" is not working. I took the vehicle in and they said it was a sensor. I drove the vehicle until sensor came in and they replaced it. Not even two months later, I am backing into my empty garage and BAM! the car slammed on brakes as if I hit something and that thing stopped me, AND while I am still pressing the gas pedal.
I have not seen the error message again so far but this vehicle only have a little over 8,000 miles.
