Since I've purchase my vehicle in May 2022, the back up camera has presented a black or blue screen. Ford has not found a solution in over a year. Prior to purchase I was not informed of this issue.

Windshield stress crack developed overnight. First notices July 18th as small crack (less than 6 inches) on right top third. Over the week grew to 8 inches. Less than 10,000 miles and under 1 year. Ford considers this a wear item and is only covered for 90 days. Currently available for inspection. Not driving car in case the windshield completely fails. Windshield will be inspected and replaced by insurance.

The power lift gate was making a popping noise, so I took the truck to Ford for repair. They supposedly repaired the truck, but the power lift gate started opening and closing on its own and at random times. It also started to rain through the back glass, which caused mild in the truck. The warning states that the power loft gate should be completely closed or it can result in death, but it wasn-??t able to close at all times. Ours safety was out at risk due to the power lift gate opening and closing at random times, which could have caused me to be hit, other drivers to be injured, and theft of property from other people having access while the power lift gate didn-??t properly close. The problem was confirmed by a dealer. I showed video as well. The manufacturer has inspected the vehicle component, but they broke a panel on the driver door and tried to glue it on, so the manufacturer is dishonest. They also advised that I have a -??bad car-?? but refuse to do anything. No it was no warnings.

1. My 2022 Explorer limited purchased mid Dec 2022 began having issues during shifting of gears and would stutter before jolting or would drive in the opposite direction when shifting btwn gears starting in Feb 2023. Ford would not give me an appt until may. In March I put the car in reverse in front of my child's daycare, it drove forward, hit a large vase and damaged the front end. Ford was contacted and again told me the earliest they could get me an appt was may. I recorded all events from there forward. In May my car was inspected and numerous error codes were found. One of which was a "gear shift lock solenoid/actuator circuit 'A' range/performance". They ultimately fixed the faulty shifter. But refuse to repair the front end damage to the vehicle caused by the malfunctioning shifter stating "I should have braked". There was a list of error codes they told me have been addressed but on the final invoice it also states one has not. But they have refused to provide me with a list of interpretation for the errors codes. 2. This faulty gear shift could have resulted in severe injury to myself or a bystander. When I contacted ford after the accident they continued to disregard my safety concerns and would not provide me w an early appointment to investigate these serious problems 3. See answer 1 4. No. The car functioned normally from purchase date in mid December to mid-late Feb when symptoms began without warning and occurred intermittently until the car was assessed the first week of May

There has been an open safety recall on this vehicle for about 5 months with NO indication of how they are going to fix it or when. This is preventing me from running my business using the vehicle because the vehicle cannot have any recalls on it. I have called two Ford dealerships and contacted Ford help line several times and they do not have any solution.

I can hear the fuel in my gas tank "sloshing" around. It is most obvious at slower speed when backing and pulling forward. I would assume there are some sort of "baffles" missing in the fuel tank. I have had the "sloshing" sounds confirmed by the local Ford dealer's service department. They say they can not resolve the matter. In Jan 2003, I reported the issue to Ford Customer Service (Case #4069-6889). I am not sure this situation presents a safety hazard but wanted to report it to NHTSA for consideration, and for the record. Thank you.

I was driving (at a fairly low speed) recently when my vehicle began driving erratically. I pulled over and noticed that there was smoke in the passenger compartment. I exited the vehicle and walked to the passenger side (out of traffic) and opened the passenger door to retrieve my cell phone. At that point there was a burst of flame upon opening the door, and the fire quickly spread to the passenger compartment.

Driver side Axel was out when I took my car in for my oil change and tire rotation. I was unaware of this issue due to this being my first oil change and tire rotation. I have called the dealership service department where I purchased the vehicle and also the dealership service who serviced my vehicle. I then called Ford Motor to report issue and was advised to contact NHTSA. The claim number [XXX]. I was informed that I would have to wait until my vehicle breakdown in order to be covered or wait for a recall through Ford. I was told I would have to pay out of pocket if I seek further service for fixing the issue without Fords recall and there is a program that will pay me back if one becomes available. I was advised by Taylor Ford that they have come across a few of these issues with the exact same problem in the 2022 Explorers. INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

Brand new 2022 Ford Explorer Timberline purchased May 14th of this year. While accelerating, our vehicle is giving off strong exhaust fumes through the cabin. The fowl odor coming through the vents made a Carbon monoxide monitor go off. The smells have been intermittent and have no rhyme or reason when this occurs, but only when we are driving wether it's on the freeways, or through residential areas. This has been a consumer safety concern while driving my family around in fumes, since we purchased the vehicle, and to include we've made 8 trips to the dealership and they've attempted to pin point and rectify our complaint and unfortunatley haven't been successful. It has been to another dealership for a second opinion, and they have too, smelled the odors while driving but didn't inspect further. The vehicle only has 5700 miles on it and is not safe to drive. It is back at the dealership we purchased it from, and further diagnosing has been conducted, but the service manager claims they have found no leaks. They also replaced two components under warranty that haven't been related to our complaint.

On July 10th, 3:45 pm, after being parked in a parking lot for an hour in the sun, I opened the rear driver side door, the moonroof made a "pop" sound, then glass showered down. The glass popped UP, not down, and we were not in motion. Nor had we heard any impacts while driving at any time previously.

Purchased car 5/31/22 from Apple Ford, 8800 Stanford Blvd, Columbia MD 21045. Started hearing sounds of rodent infestation 2 days later. Sporadic scurrying sounds that seemed to be coming from metal frame area above headliner in the car. Have recorded the sounds and attempted to share this verification of infestation with dealership, to no avail. As disabled vet w/anxiety/ptsd, scurrying sounds are unnerving, rodents are known to cause wiring damage which affects vehicle safety, sudden emergence of rodents when operating vehicle is additional safety hazard to myself, my passengers and others. Dealership removed headliner and stated no indication of rodents found. I repeatedly notified dealer the sound is one of clawing/scurrying on metal and that I have video evidence that verifies rodent infestation. So far, there are no warning lights, etc or other symptoms of the problem.
