Explorer Sport Trac Limited 4.6L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 50,200 miles

Another very COMMON problem with explorer trucks. It rains a lot here and one day you walk out and see 2" of water in the back seat. then you trace it up and see the headliner has water stains. then you realize it comes from the 3rd brake light area and roof rails. Then you wonder HOW CAN THIS BE??

come- on cheap build with no consideration. I have known this problem to be true on my truck and 4 other local trucks. When I went to buy a ford sport tract at a dealership. 1st one I looked at on day one. Had puddle of water in the rear cup and along window seal as it rained the night before. Lucky the problem was evident on that one and I moved on. . . but now the one I bought has the same issue. NOT COOL!

I bough my 2007 truck from Milton Ruben in Augusta, Ga. about 5 years ago. My salesman at that time was Mr. Dusty. Today is May 3, 2016 yesterday and today we had some heavy raining. I notice in the afternoon that the interior rear part of roof was soak and wet. I drove and talked to the salesmans manager Shame and mentioned about the my 2007 ford sports trac having a wet leaking roof. Took it to there service line, gave them the vin #. They look at the recalls, they told me nothing couldn't done. Never will buy a car from them again.

Explorer Sport Trac XLT 3.5L

  • Automatic transmission

I have water leaking from the side tracks on the roof next to the luggage rack. I originaly thought it was comming from the rear window so I took it back to the dealer and they told me they could not do anything about it and that I should take it to a upholstery specialist. I took it to a body shop and found out that the water was comming from the roof track beside the luggage rack, They also told me that they had multiple persons that came in with the same problem on the explorer trac Models. I am going to take back to dealer to see if they are going to at least check it out. If they cant then maybe its time to switch to Chevrolet or dodge because Ford surely wont be getting my business anmore.
