Major oil leak coming from oil pan. Did cause a fire at one point but was put out before serious damage could be done. It amazes me that an oil leak could be this large and I later found out that oil was leaking from nearly everywhere possible.

This family of F-150's had cork oil pan gaskets, and if you're still driving it around now in 2015 it's probably leaking. You can replace it with a rubber oil pan gasket to solve the problem, and while the gasket is under $100, the labor to replace it can be anywhere from $600-800 because you need to lift the engine up and remove/replace all of the old rusted bolts.
Since the truck is worth $500-$1500, it's not worth the cost to replace the gasket. I ended up adding some RTV sealant around the gasket to try and hold back the leak which helped a little bit for $30, but it doesn't solve the problem. There is a risk of fire, but mainly it just stains my driveway. Luckily it doesn't leak enough for me to need to add oil to the engine during regular use.
