Wiring leading upto the old switch on the gear lever frayed and broke on 2 sepearate occasions.dealer repaired under warranty, but the same problem arose again after 200 miles.I repaired the problem on my own by installing a new wiring harness.no further incidents with automatic transmission or od switch.
